BillTracker privacy policy

BillTracker keeps your bill plan on your device. You do not need an account.

Bill data and app settings

Bill names, amounts, schedules, notes and tags are stored in the app’s local storage. Pay schedule and display settings are also saved locally. The app does not send this information to the developer and contains no advertising or analytics services.

Imported statements

When you select statement PDFs, BillTracker reads them on your device to identify possible recurring expenses. Statement text and detected transactions are processed locally. They are not uploaded to the developer. Bills you choose to add from the results are saved with your other bills.

Notifications

With your permission, BillTracker schedules local notifications containing the bill name, amount and due date. iOS controls notification display. You can disable reminders in BillTracker or disable notification permission in iOS Settings. Notification previews may appear on a locked screen, depending on your device settings.

Backups and sharing

BillTracker exports a JSON backup only when you choose to export. If you save or share it through Files, email, cloud storage or another app, that destination handles the exported file under its own terms and privacy practices. Device backups may also include app data according to your device and backup settings.

Retention and deletion

Saved bills remain until you delete or replace them, or remove the app’s data by deleting the app. Exported files, selected statement files and device backups are separate copies; remove them from their destinations if you no longer want to keep them. After a restore replaces unreadable local data, the app retains a protected recovery copy in its app storage. Deleting the app removes its local storage, including that recovery copy.

This support website is hosted by GitHub Pages. It contains no analytics scripts or tracking cookies added by BillTracker. GitHub’s handling of website visits is covered by GitHub’s privacy statement.
